Who and What Should Be Inspected and Quarantined
A) Persons, conveyances and transport equipment, as well as articles such as baggage, goods and postal parcels that may transmit infectious diseases, shall undergo quarantine inspection upon entering or exiting the country No entry or exit shall be allowed without the permission of a frontier health and quarantine office Specific measures for implementation of this Law shall be stipulated in detailed regulations
B) A consignor or an agent for the transportation of a corpse or human remains Into or out of the country must declare the matter to a frontier health and quarantine office; transport thereof, in either direction across the border, shall not be allowed until sanitary inspection proves satisfactory and an entry or exit permit is given
C) Special articles which enter or¡ºeave the country such as micro-organisms, human tissue, biological and blood products shall be subject to health and quarantine inspection. The carrier, the shipper or the parcel sender of the above mentioned articles is required to declare them at the health and quarantine organ for inspection. Without permission by the health and quarantine organ, there shall be no entry or exit of such articles
Declaration
Persons entering China w¡be required to report physical conditions, travel history and related information They may also be required to provide vaccine certificates, related health certificates or other proof of health. They may also undergo inspection and quarantine when necessary.
People coming from yellow fever prevalent area are required to present a valid certificate of inoculation against yellow fever to the health and quarantine organ upon entry. Certificates of Health
Both foreigners and residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan, who come to China for employment study, marriage or other purpose for a period of more than a year are required to provide valid proof of health before entering China.1f no proof of health can be provided the person will receive a health check within a month after arrival
